Joy of seeing a NewBorn!!

I went to the hospital with mom just for the mere excitement and joy of seeing a newborn baby.

When we reached there all her family members were anxiously waiting outside. Within a few minutes, we heard the sound of a baby's cry. For a moment everyone became silent to hear the sound.

Then within a couple of minutes the nurse came out and informed that its a girl and both the baby and the mother are healthy. Her family members took a sigh of relief and began congratulating each other. It was a good feeling to share their joy in that moment.

I had cooked the food, the mother ate before giving birth to the child, so they said that the baby would be like me and I was happy.
They knew I was excited to see the baby so after a few more minutes they told me I could go to see her. I finally got to go inside and see her. I was happy and she is very cute. We are guessing she will be a tall and a healthy child. It is a small thing but will be a sweet memory. May God Bless her.

A day full of birthdays

Date - 20/09/2017 Today was Deepika Di's, Aizhan Aappa's and Anu Manhotra Ma'am's birthday. Deepika Di was my senior in Shoolini. She was one of the seniors I have always admired and looked upto. Wishing her a happy birthday was one of the first things I did today. She is intelligent, confident, classy, beautiful, helpful and a sweetheart. I haven't known her for a very long time but it has been a great experience to know her. I got to know about Aappa's birthday through facebook. I wasn't sure what to do. I was thinking about it all day. I had just planned to gift her a small choco pie which I had but then did not felt like gifting that alone. I just thought that probably a letter with some birthday wishes would seem nice. I don't have any clues about Kazakh so I took a little help from Google. I just wrote happy birthday in Kazakh and the entire message was in English. I also wrote Happy birthday in Hindi in the end. She was very happy and delight...

Aizhan Aapa

Date -07/09/2017 Aizhan Aapa is my first Friend here, besides Sujin Onni(my mentor). Actually her name is Aizhan but she is elder to me so I call her Aizhan Aapa. We both like it that way. Aizhan Appa is from Kazistan and is majoring in Korean language here. It is her second year here and she will be here for two more years. Apart from studies, she also works as an assistant in the dormitory office on alternative days here. Today I went for an evening walk with her. I always enjoy talking to her and spending some time with her. She is friendly, helpful and sweet. A lot of times when we are stuck with something or don't know how to do something in the dormitory she always tries to help her out. Nirbhaya case

It was an incident that shocked the nation. We couldn't save her but Justice was the least that we wanted for her. Today after 4 years the justice has been served. The 4 convicts of Delhi Gangrape have been sentenced to be hanged till death. It has come as a relief and we hope it sets an example for others. But isn't Justice delayed Justice denied ? Doesn't it also points out the loop holes in our system ? It does suggest that we need to make better laws, something that instills confidence in the hearts of civilians and fear in the minds of criminals. We need to restore the faith of general masses in our judicial system. When so many people came out on the roads to protest, there was a wave of anger and frustration that we saw. We hoped that maybe things will change but what followed was unfortunate. Crimes are just becoming more and more common.
