Today students from all the Korean Language classes went to a Field Trip to the 19th Rice Festival, Incheon. In our teacher's group we were around a dozen people from India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Singapore, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. It was a perfect place to have a glimpse of the Korean folk and get an idea about its countryside. The Korean folk culture was beautifully depicted throughout the place. Rice cakes and Korean traditional food, display of Korean village farms and handmade art, traditional games, puppet play and street performances are a few of the many things you can enjoy in the Incheon Rice festival. Finally I also got to put on the Hanbok i.e. the Korean traditional dress. I was really eager to try on first. It is so pretty, I just love it especially the one for the girls.
