A lovely day

Date - 12/09/2017

Sometimes just a nice morning is all that it takes to begin a great day. I just tried to approach everything positively today. I just decided to let go of the things that I cannot change or help.

We recorded a video of self introduction in the Korean class. It was fun and something I will always remember and probably even laugh at later.

I want to keep all the little memories (both the good ones and the bad ones) of my student exchange forever with me through this blog.

Since I was a little free I read a couple of articles today. One was about being an exchange student, having the feelings I couldn't interpret or express right now just reading that article felt really good.

Another one was about learning a foreign language. I have decided to try not to compare myself to anyone else and learn things at my own pace. To take my Korean lessons outside my classroom was yet another thing I learnt.

While reading these articles I realized, one thing that is common all the motivational writer I like is that they are very honest about their lives too. All of us have committed some mistakes in our lives just being able to acknowledge our own flaws is what everyone should read.

Just opening up about my feelings with my Indian friends actually helped. Anamika Di's little advice about giving things a little time to fall in place was something that felt good.

Strange...

Today I got to know something about Korea that I thought was really strange. Gambling is generally prohibted for Koreans. Hailey told us that there is a huge Cassino in Korea where Koreans are not allowed to enter. It is only for the Foreigners or Koreans that have an American citizenship. In case of many clubs the situation is completely opposite. Lawrence told us that there are a lot of clubs which are meant for Koreans only and Foreigners are not allowed there. I found it really weird because I don't think there is any such similiar thing in India.

Stop Expecting Them To Understand!

Source - Pixabay The advice we empathetically present to our friends is often the same ones we learnt too late, at a cost we wish wasn't so huge. As you tell them that not all has been lost and their worth and what they bring to the table is way beyond the biggest of their dreams and worst of their failings they may have known. Yet in your own shoes, besides all the words you throw around to sooth your heart ache, you often feel defeated and lost beyond despair.  You finally woke up but knowing that it probably is already too late doesn't really help your sleep. Nor does it do much to help you get out of bed as suddenly you begin to wake up with the worst of your fears each day. There is so much you know today; you just wish you had garnered enough will yesterday. But, I guess Bob Marley was right when he said, "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice."  © Source: Quotespedia Me being me, I didn't come back to my senses untill all...

First Sunset in South Korea

Date- 01/09/2017 I love watching sunsets. In the evening I was feeling a little upset so just went to the ground. I walked a bit and then sat on the grass for a while. While sitting there, I noticed sun was about to set so I began to notice. I wasn't really in the mood and did not really enjoy it much but felt good to notice the sunset after long. I did not had much to do today. In the morning, we went for the Induction of Korean language class. Professor Park Sun Kyu is going to be our teacher for the Korean language class. Initially, I just hated the Korean language when I tried to speak a few Korean words through some apps back in India. But after coming here and learning a couple of words I am beginning to enjoy it. I also learnt how to introduce myself in Korean. Now I really want to learn Korean. I think its gonna be fun. Our classes will be starting from monday and I will be selecting my courses tomorrow. I am feeling really sleepy right now so good night guys. 😊 ...
